There’s a brand new label to look forward to here in SL! It’s called Mulloy, and is started by an amazing entrepreneur Thomaz Mulloy (cheltn098). Thomaz is an entrepreneur because he’s been doing lots of things in SL, and now he’s begun to take on designing. The Mulloy woman is one who loves the simplicity and luxe of classic Italian design.
His first release for Mulloy is a simple yet beautiful mermaid gown which comes in 4 colors: ice, navy, nude and onyx. In this photo, I have on the navy version and I chose to style it with a pearl necklace and matching bracelet, to stay true to the Mulloy vision.
Please do check out the Mulloy store, and support Thomaz if you love the Milano gown as much as I do!
Love, Kai

#92 – Apocalypse Now

Halloween season is proving to be really fun for me. I get the chance to dress up as different characters and in different styles, sometimes not in the style I would usually go for. But I take that as sort of a little lesson, on how styling myself in a certain way out of my comfort zone can help me learn more and open myself out more to the other genres.
This post was greatly influenced by one of my favorite movies this year, the over-the-top action movie, Mad Max: Fury Road, which also served as inspiration for one part of this collection released by Wicca’s Wardrobe for Halloween. I guess the idea really stuck in my head after knowing about Wicca’s inspiration so I took it and ran with it. Her pieces are named after horror movies, or characters in famous horror movies (though there are exceptions), so see if you can spot the references in her collection!
The Paige top and the Carrie skirt come from two different outfits but are both released at BOSL Fall/Winter Fashion Week 2015, together with the Psycho armpieces, while the Seska headpiece is a release for the Fantasy Collective of October. Do be sure to check them both out if you’re interested!
I love how imaginative the pieces are and that pushes me to style myself in a non-conventional way, which was quite difficult, I must admit. I spent a whole lot of time thinking about the right hairstyle to use and in the end I settled with the Viking hair from Tableau Vivant, under the category of Fantasy/Roleplay hairstyles. Once again, that aisle is not someplace I would usually go if not for this shoot so I’m rather thankful.
The makeup was rather simple and was decided upon the quickest. Like I said, I was rather inspired by Mad Max: Fury Road so I knew what makeup I wanted and thank goodness Nuuna has them.
Halloween is just around the corner! I’m so excited and I can’t wait for the day to arrive! Till then, take care!
Love, Kai

As promised, here’s another post featuring a few items from the Event @ 1st, still happening now till the 25th. I actually styled this look around the White Widow tattoo and the POSH PIXELS corset. I thought that these two items could come together for a tough girl look, that was the starting point for a basic idea for a photo. From there, it developed into a femme fatale concept, which was why I added the katana and begged Jackson to bring me to a Japanese sim for the concept to really come through.
The White Widow tattoo comes in a few colors, the other two being Dark (yes, that’s what it’s called) and Blue. It also comes in 3 shades, whether you like the tattoo faded, normal or really dark. I like it precisely because it gives a yakuza vibe to it, and the tattoo is very feminine, so it’s perfect if you aren’t looking for something that’s too tough. The corset is by POSH PIXELS and comes with a color hud where you can customise it any way you want to. It doesn’t come with a set of underwear, which was why I styled it with my own panties that came together with my Maitreya Lara mesh body.
I chose a red and black color scheme when I was putting the look together so the red Tendril Platform Heels by KRAVE suited the whole look, and kinda lent this  perverse twist to the photo haha. The hair was actually styled last. I was searching so hard for the right hair which could give that ‘I’m dangerous, so try me’ kinda look, and when I put on the Jona hair, a group gift from EMO-tions, I was so happy. There’s no hud to it, this is how the gift comes, perfect for this look!
You guys still have about 2 more days to check out this month’s Event @ 1st, so don’t hesitate! If you like the items featured here, here’s your TP!
Love, Kai
